I find the current CMF search function almost useless,
not to mention difficult because of the Captcha which Admin has chosen.

Example: today I tried searching 'BEP.UN' with no result in either "entire thread" search or "title only" search.

But when I use the ordinary Google search bar and enter "BEP.UN : canadian money forum" I have success.

So the point is; using Google, enter your search word and add ": canadian money forum".
It works sometimes.

As a registered member, you should not see Captcha at all. I'm curious why you are seeing when searching.

Example: today I tried searching 'BEP.UN' with no result in either "entire thread" search or "title only" search.

We use the vBulletin built in search which does seem to have trouble with terms such as BEP.UN. I'm not sure if there is anything we can do about this. Note that searching for "brookfield renewables" would have resulted in a decent search results.

Ahhh ... that explains it;
I was searching while logged off.
No Captcha when I'm signed in.

The search for "Brookfield" worked fine.
