    Heard about it yesterday.
It may just be a come on to open an account and then after 6 months or so they will lower the rates to be in line with other on line banks. "Rates are subject to change at any time".
Don't know if it's worth the time and effort. I have my savings with CDF and they're paying 1.8 %.
I don't know why they don't offer joint accounts because that's what I'd want anyway.
    I'll wait :-)

it's a competitive landscape for virtual banks ... i doubt they will sustain those rates for too long

it seems that with gic's and bank savings accounts, they will offer high rates until they take in the required amount of capital they are after and then will start to cool rates down

It's a good thing maybe PCF or tangerine will follow and increase their rates too.

I'll wait a bit, I don't like that they claim they don't have a transit number, (heard it on https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/f...-rate-for-now/), can't externally link Hubert or Tangerine w/o that.
