Since there are a lot of small business types on the forum, I'm wondering if some of you have used CRMs. If so, which one(s) do you prefer, and why? Which has the best price / user interface / reliability / usefulness / support / integration with other services like linkedin? Any thoughts?
As a customer of a company that uses Salesforce as its customer interface I strongly disagree. It could be that this company does a very poor job of implementing a Salesforce site but it is a pretty horrible experience dealing with that site.
In my biz we are just using Active Campaign - which is really an email marketing tool, but it is flexible enough to use as a quasi-crm.
I actually enjoyed using Salesforce for awhile at a past job. I also used Goldmine which I would say is horrible. Never tried HighRise but used Basecamp for project management and I am fond of those guys.
Another new alternative - HubSpot offers a free CRM now. I have never used it (its real new) but i might be worth checking out. They claim they will never ever charge for it: http://www.hubspot.com/products/crm
