Realtor agreement open ended?

Hi

Now I am trying to sell my home by myself using kijiji/ craigslist/comfree(comfree still in progress) as I feel realtor not doing much besides MLS listing.However I got a call today from a realtor who says he can offer me an open ended contract for 60 days.
What it will mean is if I get a buyer on my own ,I will be free to sell him without any issues from their agreement.
Also whenever I want I can break the agreement. I understand MLS listings are for 60 days.
So I was wondering if that is something feasible by MLS rules if he is offerign me that?
Where can I get that verified?

This isn't that uncommon, but be sure to read the actual contract before you sign. Not all realtors do what they say they are going to do...
