    - $99 on WINDtab on $40 plan
    - $299 on WINDtab on $25 or $29 plan

They are also asking $149 more than the Google Play store if you buy outright, it's pretty gougey.
You're right dd- I forgot she mentioned her plan was around $44 or so with taxes, but i think it's still a great deal. I'm waiting on AAPL's new release before I start looking at a smartphone- likely an older model for very cheap.

Np. Highway coverage generally sucks everywhere on Wind. If you do a lot of car travel I would just stick with the big 3 a few more years. Canada is Vimpelcom's most profitable market but they don't seem they are putting as much effort as they should to stay in business. I get these are austere times but by not holding upto promises it's a dangerous game they play..

thanks again dd. I really appreciate the time you've taken here. These are questions I should ask a rep...but they tend to be rather slippery.

What happens with data outside the zone? Is it still accessible at a charge?

One other good think I noticed....while I can't call Vancouver/Calgary.....I can use the phone in Calgary for local calls there...even if it's not my home base. I'm almost sold....I think.

I thought my wife told me that for large markets (she actually used Van-Cal as an example) that it would be something minimal like 2 cents a minute.
