Should this forum have a disclaimer?

I was just thinking, if someone were to ask for financial advice on this forum, and we give him advice (with the best of intentions) and he acts on that advice and for some reason it results in the loss of his life savings, could he sue this forum and everyone who posts on it for damages? I know Canadian ISPs are required to reveal the identity associated with an IP if the government asks it of them, so the government can find out who we are if they want. It might be a good idea for the forum to include a disclaimer, something to the effect of "this forum and its participants are not responsible for any loss that might result when following advice given here".

I would recommend a statement of the objectives of this forum in Forum Rules and include the general disclaimers there.

Anyone who follows the advice of anonymous posters on an internet forum, probably isn't smart enough to hire a lawyer...and if they've lost their shirt, how could they pay? Besides, Canada doesn't allow such stupid lawsuits usually...though that seems to be changing. There is that french guy who keeps suing through the human rights board because he doesn't get his pop served in french...only in Canada where the reverse could never happen in Quebec.
