    Questrade increase their margin rate

    I just found out that questrade increase their margin rate from prime + 1.5 to prime + 3. Time to jump-ship?

    Interactive brokers is the only brokerage with reasonable posted margin rates. CAD margin starts of Prime - 0.5%. I would not use brokerage margin at anything more than Prime+1, and that is expensive.

    That is bad news, good thing I paid most of the margin off, but I have limit orders with stuff waiting to buy cheap

    Sucks, but they're probably having trouble making money at 4.5%. They could be getting squeezed by their financier.
