Prince Philip could be his own cheer up thread.

48 of Prince Philip's greatest gaffes and funny moments

"When a man opens a car door for his wife, it's either a new car or a new wife."
If you have something to say - then say.

My grandmother took me to see Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 1959.

I was only 9 years old but still remember walking to see her and watching them pass by.

Prince Philip would have been 38 at the time.

I hope he enjoys the rest of his days.

Funny thing was I went to high school in the US in 1964/1965 American kids asked me if I ever met the Queen.

I would say...."I never met her but she was in the neighborhood and I saw her" and they would run off telling other kids...'he saw the Queen".

I had to admit to them that I had never met an Eskimo though.

Let's just hope he has saved enough for retirement. Maybe he has a decent DB pension. But the article cited by jargey says that his wife is still working, so maybe he sees that as taking some of the pressure off.

At almost 96, the Prince doesn't have much time left.

Aw, c'mon. He's a "Royal", not a scummy "commoner". He's been chosen by a higher power to live a royal long time! Some guy said to have been 146 years old died recently in Indonesia. That guy was just an ordinary human. So Phil should make 200.
