My guess is the company will be broken up into its component parts in a couple of years. ABT is doing it, KFT, others will follow. Just a guess of course.

I hope so financial sense-abt has moved big time since they broke/divided up-hope that is the outcome and = the same with pg.
The only problem I have with the break-up theory to increasing share prices is that they trade at a pretty high multiple. The break-up usually works better when the assumption is that they have highly valued divisions that aren't receiving an appropriate earning multiple that will be bid up once they are standing independently. I actually wonder if the opposite isn't true of this company in that it may be bid up because it is a conglomerate.
