A few years ago, I picked up a copy of a book called "The Biography of the Pill" for $0.25 (it was even hardcover). Best Twenty Five sense I'd ever spent on a book. Having grown up after it's invention, I had no idea what life was like, especially for women, before the pill. It has changed society and our lifestyle more than you can imagine.

    I'm not JustAGuy (without spaces).

Bacon? is it considered an invention..or just another use for our four legged tasty friend ..the pig,
glorified over the ages and been served up in many creative ways.

Ham, pork chops, bbq ribs, spic/spam (not the internet kind),roast pork, pork twists, sow's ears, silk purses, pig's knuckles, head cheese,
chinese food pork dumplings, salted pork (Canada's early explorer's staple), pig skin leather (footballs), sausage, wieners, and of course pork barrel politics.

and in medicine...a source for heart valve replacement too.

... agree, a life-saver. Actually, the human anatomy is very much like the pig.

The mastery of fire. Without it we would still all be living in caves.
