Just heard that McD's is offering 50% off their new Bistro Sandwiches for a couple of days (March 21-23). Works out to be ~ $2.60 + tax.

Tried the BLT one and the ranch one. Not the tastiest thing I ever ate (I like the Big Mac much better) but for the price it's worth it. Will try the mushroom one tomorrow.
Also, today only Popeye's Chicken has 8 pieces for $8.99 (normally it's 14.99).
Thanks for this feedback Sherlock. Anyone with additional feedback on these sandwiches? It seems clear that MCD is competing with Hortons (which also has a number of good sandwiches, chili etc) on this and I'm just curious if these sandwiches measure up? I like MCD coffee but don't eat any of their other food due to health reasons.
I wouldn't say they're "sandwiches". They're chicken burgers with assorted toppings. I had the mushroom swiss one last night. It was OK, not fantastic. But since I don't eat beef and McDonald's chicken offerings have been horrible up till now, I've never wanted to eat there. Now I could say OK if someone asked me to go to McD's with them. It's not a ringing endorsement but it's better than where they were before!
I tried it, and I'm impressed by the sandwich compared to other fast food joints. They use real chicken (compared to chicken breast processed patties, like subway and Tim's), and whole wheat bread. A bit expensive though at full price.. definitely worth a try at $2.60 or so.

Tried one of these today. Not bad; looks like the photo, fresh toppings, and nice bun. Would not pay full price for it though.
We enjoyed two today, brought our own can of coke too to drink. It was great, the mcd was nice, had a fire place and nice decor.
I would love to buy shares on MCD.
Just had the McBistro Southwest with Grilled Chicken. Good for under $3. Like others, would not pay full price.
Thanks for posting this, FT!
