Has anyone got a Tattoo Redone?

I got a tattoo in February, 2011 and unfortunately, I sort of ruined it.

The tattoo is on my chest. While sleeping after I initially got the tattoo, it bled into my sheets, the blood dried, and it pulled out some of the ink in the middle of the night and I was left with a big tattoo stain on my sheets.

A year later, and I want to get it touched up.

Has anyone done it?

More specifically, I want to know if it looks BETTER or the SAME as when you first got it?

At all costs I do not want it to be worse than it is. My design is a little bit intricate and has some thin lines, so I don't want anything to be blurred or smudged.

If you got it redone, did you go to the same artist, or a different artist?

I'd like to know also. Mine is ten years old and could use new color. I'd consider adding to it, but am concerned it would be obvious.

Same artist isn't an option for me.
