I think someone should have acknowledged that the OP's original question was at least answered.
I ran an example of a 50 yearold with $2M in his RRSP and a $200K salary. The tax rate on withdrawal was higher than pre-retirement and yet it appeared that it was indeed advantageous to continue contributing to his RRSP.
I posted the 2 plans and invited anyone to come up with an objection or an alternative solution... nada.
It would be a shame if people on the forum came away believing Larry`s ridiculous position.
