Thanks Dogcom. I'm not sure there will be a crash, but I have been somewhat preparing for it. I sold off some equity when the TSX was over 12000 and have been sitting on some cash. I want to gradually move more of my portfolio to an indexing model because Bernstein and other authors have made a very compelling case for it. I'm still holding some oil stocks for the long term, but other than Encana I haven't been tempted by the Nat Gas market. However, some of my oil holdings have a Nat Gas component. Started listening to MoneyTalks again with Michael Campbell over the internet and he shares some of your concerns. Suggest reading "The Intellectual Asset Allocator" by William Bernstein if you have time and tell me what you think of it.
Hey spidey thought I would throw you some more stuff. HEU and XFN oversold based on RSI and some other stuff. Caution here is we are setting up for a severe bear market going on into November. For one consider that Americans will lose their tax exemptions as they expire this year from the Bush tax cuts meaning they must sell stuff. I don't have the time to check everything out but it will be a big concern from what I have heard. Also look at Nat Gas for the end of August it could be a play as well as Tech by the end of Oct. looks really good.
I agree with your comments Dogcom. This forum is starting to pick up steam and seems to be getting new members. I've gotten a little fed up with the FWR forum for some of the same reasons you have. I don't know if it's a big city attitude at FWR or a "Toronto" attitude. I also got tired of the over moderation and the excessive bundling of threads. This forum seems to have the right balance in that regard.
Spidey I have to say now that I have been on this forum for awhile that it is a lot better then FWF. Not that FWF is no good it is just that FWF seems like a forum for the big city and this one is for the small town and I like it a lot better. Also you don't have to go find threads that are 5 years old to add to and be the 400th reply. By the way I am surprised that I haven't dragged you into the "Go Ahead and Debate It" topic I posted. I think it is because I am ahead of you like 321 - 301 or maybe you have forgotten our friend Harvard. Don't worry spidey I am just having a little fun here and I was wrong about you. You see I like to try to read people in different ways and see if I am right and most of the time I am. Also by the way if I vote in the next Fed election I will vote for Harper because he is the best choice available for now.

Thanks. Yeah Christmas is my favorite, but they really go crazy here for Halloween. The first time I took my daughter out, I had to come back and get my wife to show her the decorations and effects. They seem to get more into it than in Richmond.
