I just got your message. The $3k/month is a good return on $500k these days. Is there any guarantees on the pension?
Hi Keven, Not sure if you remember me from another site. I was deep in debt at that time and my husband and I managed to dig our way out after lending our son $400K It took its toll on my husband's health. He just passed away this April and I am now left with lots of financial decisions. His pension is with PostMedia and I have the option to take a lumpsum 500K or $3K monthly for life. I am finding this a really complex decision to make. My head is not clear foggy at this time. Any direction tips suggestions welcome. I did post on a thread Invest with Bank or Broker and I did get quite a few responses, still unsure what to do. Red Rose
