For all the rrrrrrroll up the rim to win players out there, some food for thought.

1 in 6 chance of winning a coffee at Tim's = ~$.27 off each coffee

McDonald's has $1 off every coffee promotion = $1 off each coffee

Personally, I prefer McD's coffee anyway so that's where I go.


EDIT: I believe the promotion is over, but they had it for most of February.

The MCD format is better IMO because there is no game. $1 off, period. Why should I play a game and buy 6 coffees in the hope to win? Besides, as jcgd says, MCD coffee is much better. There's some sort of addictive thing that TH adds to their cofee, based on the morning/all-day lineups and traffic james caused by these places. The drivers get very stupid around there too; I am cutoff by at least one TH customer every morning on my way to work. It's probably the worst part of my drive.

I'mm happy with the coffee at home though when i am away i usually just pull into whichever is nearest to me..be it TH's.. Mcd's or coffee time

I just cannot grasp this Tim Hortons obsession.....great PR work though...so many people seem to have been inculcated with the idea that you're not 'Canadian' if you don't go to Tim's.

I think it's pretty slick what Tim's has done. So many people who are fiercely loyal towards it. Tim's is all Canadian... Beavers, Maple Leaves, Hockey, Tim's...

But I just think McDick's has 'em beat on the coffee front for the last couple years.

McDonald's has better coffee, breakfast sandwiches that will kill you, and hash browns.

Tim's has better parbaked (blech) muffins and bagels, as well as donuts.

For me Tim's coffee is much better, I don't know why so many people like McD's coffee more? Am I just wierd?
